A
new venture
As suggested at the last planning meeting, we are organising a new plan for members to be able to visit each other’s gardens when they are at their best.
It is to be entirely voluntary. The idea is that those who would like to open their gardens to members on a specific day of their choosing could do so. By using the web-site and our e-mail addresses we can easily be in touch with each other to find out which gardens are open and when.
You might decide that one particular plant is doing really well and be pleased to show it to us. It can be at any time of year. Surely we’d all love to be able to see it at it’s best.
Donald Walker has very kindly agreed to co-ordinate the idea. His e-mail address is donald.walker@homecall.co.uk If you would like to take part, you are invited to choose your date and let Donald know. He has agreed to e-mail members with dates of open gardens. We also plan to make this information available here on the club website. A reasonable amount of notice, say a week or so, will be needed for information to be processed and for members to arrange their own time so as to be able to come.
Hopefully we will all enjoy this new idea, and be happy to take part. We all work hard in our gardens and it is great to share the fruits of our endeavours with each other.
