tour with Reg Metcalfe to "his" gardens.
We are going to visit two of the gardens cared for by Reg Metcalfe: Grimes Hill Lodge, Middleton Meet here at 2 pm. Grimes Hill Lodge is on the A683 at Middleton between Sedbergh and Kirkby Lonsdale. It is the first house beyond the Swan public house, which is on the right hand side of the road (travelling from the Sedbergh direction). There is parking at the house enter by the first gate. Elm Lodge, Ravenstonedale Elm Lodge is opposite the school in Ravenstonedale. Turn off the Sedbergh road at the Fat Lamb. Proceed to the centre of Ravenstonedale and turn left past the Black Swan. Elm Lodge is a couple of hundred yards - park in the parking area by the school. Tea and biscuits will be available at the Black Swan after our visit. |
