All meetings on 1st Tuesday of the month starting at 2pm unless otherwise stated

Very occasionally numbers may be restricted at a particular venue. If this happens we feel the fairest way to resolve the situation is to give the places to those who attend meetings most frequently.

Lunch at The Bay Horse, Winton

March 6th ‘Lesser known gardens of Cumbria’ by Tim Longville

An open meeting at the Masonic Hall

April 3rd ‘A Cumbrian ramble in search of native orchids’ by Maurice Steele

at the Friends Meeting House

May 1st

 

A trip to Lowther Castle gardens

to see the progress of the renovation and redevelopment of the gardens.

June 5th

A visit to Pear Tree Cottage, Dalton, Burton-in-Kendal

                        and Cath’s Garden Plants for retail therapy

July 3rd A visit to a garden in Catterlen at 11.30 followed by a guided tour of the gardens at Newton Rigg.

Tea will be available at the campus cafe ‘Brambles”, Bring a picnic for lunch, or lunch at Brambles Café.

A trip to Waddow Lodge, Peter Foley’s garden and Holden Clough

A coach trip with an earlier start and a picnic.

Tea and scones at H olden Clough as well as retail therapy.

Time details later.

October 2nd A trip to Barningham for the autumn colour and Eggleston Hall Gardens for tea.

This date may be moved to later in October
